The Pilgrims were English people who found the Plymouth Colony in 1620. Some pilgrams didnt agree with the religon of England, because they felt the Church violated biblical principles of Christians. there were economic problems they had. so due to those things they believed they had to break away from the Church of England to form a group of which were more in keeping with there gruop requirements.Pilgrims believed the Church of England had not come far enough. The Church had very strict rules of the State so their actions would be considered treason and these pilgrams who seperated had to flee their homeland. Christopher Columbus was known for discovering North America, although the Vikings, and the Native Americans, were there first. He was a hired explorer by the king of Spain, to search the west. He arrived at North America in three ships, the Pinta, the Nina, and the Santa Maria. |
